Dirty stuff [01.20.05]
i really like browsing the photography section of this site-it's always interesting to see what people are doing when they aren't drawing or painting.
anyway, i thought i'd share a few of my own. nothing special. these are just a few photos i took around oakland, ca while i was borrowing my roommate's digital camera. they're a little grainy for my tastes, but i wasn't able to make her camera produce anything cleaner. i'm looking forward to having my own equipment one of these days
i don't pretend to be anything other than an amateur, but critiques and comments are always welcome!

I like all of them! The bus is kind of plain though, maybe another angle would make it more intresting? That pipe is my favorite, the mood in it is really cool and I like the colors.

thanks for the replies! i may spring for my own camera once i start working again down here. i miss taking photos.
andres_pad, funny you said that. i was actually out shooting photos for textures that day.
but yeah, it is a pretty boring angle. these photos are all really damn blue, too. i need to go for more color variety next time.

Decided to throw up a few more photos (hmm that kind of gross). A couple of random ones, a few from my visit with the family in Michigan over the holidays (I stumbled across an old car rusted out and buried in the snow, had to run back and grab my camera). And then the last few are from the SF workshop.
Hope you enjoy!
This is the buried car (or its door handle, anyway)
It was something like -20° this day, and my fingers almost fell off while taking pictures.
