    Intuos 3 9x12 vs Intuos 2 12x12?

Hi all this is my first post, I am trying to decide which to get, the Intuos 3 9x12 or the Intuos 2 12x12. Either size will work I am just wondering if anyone knows which has better functionality as far as the quick keys vs the menu strip etc. I have seen that some of the pros here have tested various tablets before and I could really use the input from all.

Do you really need one this big?
As for strip vs buttons, i own an 6x8 intuos2, and i have never used the strip, its quicker to do it with the pen instead of glancing down on the tablet and figuring out which button i need. Zoom strip and programmable buttons on intuos3 on the other hand might prove more useful...

I do tend to work big, but I was looking into a 6x8. It is my silly parents idea to get a bigger one...I wont be arguing with them

Your parents want a god-son? Hahaha...Well as long as you're not getting a Graphire its cool. Shouldn't be bothered with anything else if it suits your budget and since you're not paying for it....I say go for what suits your needs best.

9X12 works great on 1600X1200 resolutions....anything less and there may be problems with a wobbly cursor. If you're working on anything less than 1280X1024, a 6X8 is more than enough.

    What about a Intuos 3 4X5?

I'm thinking about getting one of those.
How exactly does a wacom work? I know it's a pressure sensitive pad and you can draw with it using the pen, instead of the mouse.

But, How exactly do you know where to draw on the screen.
Is there a picture or white canvas on the pad? And is it okay to get a 4X5 instead of something bigger? What's the difference?

And can you zoom in and out of the picture?

    A screenshot would probobly help.

    Thanks,
