"Death of a Salesman" Poster. first timer. [higher rez]

Update: I just lowered the size dimensions and upped the rez so that the image is clearer. I have an issue though with the fact that it's posted as this pink color, when in actuality it's an extremely vibrant red. Any tips?

Hey guys. I usually go by the alias MrMoo. I've been a fan of this website for about 4 months since i found it and i STILL have yet to look at everything. This is my first post.

Anyhoo, below is the second digital painting that i've done with Photoshop. Go nuts.

    Any critiques you have?

    Take care,
    Milo

Hey yeah, I love this play. I think your art represents it pretty darn well. Gosh, the only thing I could say would be that it might be fun to play around with composition. The figure is pretty centered, maybe some golden rectangle action would do something cool. Very nice, looking forward to more.

Thanks, representation is always important to me as someone who is interested in concept art as a potential career. (among other things).

haha! i noticed the compositional thing as well about halfway through when i was working on it. I know exactly what you mean by Golden Rectangle and have been thinking of ways to use photoshops incredible editing tools to offset the composition a bit to the left.

I'm giving it a few days, so i can forget about it. Soon, i hope i can check it out in a new way.

    Wow, nice. Very stylish.

I like the two tone effect, but it's usually done best with vector art (in my opinion) because of the smooth clear lines.

That's the only thing I don't quite like about it; the slight blurriness of his face and jacket.

If those parts were as crisp as the grass/rocks in the background, I'd say it was perfect.

As for the pinkish red .. I like it. It gives it a nice mood. I would have thought that a deep red might seem a bit overpowering on black, but I'd have to see it.

Thanx, i know what you mean,

If the background is crisp, then the main character in the foreground should be equally as crisp. Right?

I'll give it a go, when i have the time.

Again, thank you for the comments. I'm glad you like the color, it's started to grow on me...
