    If you go to this link http://www.wddg.com/v.X.html and then try to select the address in the title bar and delete everything up to to url ... strange things happen....

    It's a developer, aparantly.

    My thoughts on "NIHIL NOS PROHIBERE NON POSSIT NUNC":

    NIHIL = (undeclinable) nothing
    NOS = we / us
    PROHIBERE = to prevent
    NON = not.
    POSSIT = to posses?
    NUNC = now, at the present time, soon, at this time.

    "nothing prevents us from possesing now"?

    These guys have been around a while. I believe WDDG stands for World Domination Design Group. They've always been a little bit "out there" but that seems to be their appeal. Good stuff...

    this little bit is a comment embedded in the javascript source for the page:

    Code:
        v.X
        AND THEY WILL KNOW US BY THE TRAIL OF THE DEAD
        11.25.02
    While it sounds vaguely sinister, the only thing I could find on google was about a band with a similar name. And if that's a date below it, then it looks pretty old. So if it is/was some promo thing (like the I Love Bees thing for Halo 2), then it's probably an old relic.

    As for the implementation, it's a simple meta refresh tag and a series of shockwave-flash embedded players.

    Yeah, egerie...I thought it might be a biblical reference or some other classical literrary reference, but I couldn't find anything on it. It sounded damn familiar when I first read it too. Grrr...

    Hmm...

    Actually, I'm guessing it says "Nothing is not able to prevent us now". Possit comes from possum, potui and all that stuff which means to be able. Kinda confusing though, with them double negatives. "Something is able to prevent us now" - something like that. Never knew that by taking latin I could possibly end the Apocalypse . Ah well, must foil more riddles of the universe now, I guess. Adios amigos.

    Wow, I'd never checked out this section of Ca.org... I've been missing out, though this was a strange first post to come accross

    Ah yes, I'm taking Latin I Honors right now (I get to take Latin II Honors next semester ). But yes, I'm suprised I can recognize almost all of that. It's great how Latin comes in handy .
