    cool stuff as always,
i love checking back here to see your updates
that last one is cool, but if you dont mind me saying, i dont really find the color to be working that well (too much black mixed into all the color?)... the grey background doesnt really work for me and it really has that look of a photo taken with the flash turned on...but thats just a personal thing that bugs me in painting.
i screwed around with the color a little in photoshop, hope you dont mind..
    http://www.wesleyburt.com/forum/brokencowsimage.jpg

but anyways, love your stuff, hope you keep updating

well, this is the way it is because that's how my friend wanted it. aslo, it's not in color(though i'd like it to be) cause my computer couldn't handle the file size. It needed to be a highres cause he was printing this for his GF. It was 24x something and it was at 200. The file size was insane. Before this he wanted it at 300dpi. I was like...yeah that's not going to happen. I really don't care about fixing anything as he is happy, so i am happy. Though that background fucking killed me. I suck so hard at painting anything not human.

Lesson learned.... it pays to have a GOOD sketch of the BG you are attemping to paint. Layers are very nice too if you can use them. In my case i coudln't because it added to the file size.

Thanks wes for your input. Actually, i should have more stuff soon. Mostly of my GF since she is my muse now. I haven't drawn anything else but her lately.

    for the girl.

After taking a more detailed look at all of these, I'd like to restate my previous post of:
    Cool portraits and sketches, dude.

    Keep it up!

    Ian
    and edit it to this:

Freakin' incredible paintings and sketches, man. Really enjoy your work!

I'm going to subscribe because it's just that good.

    HEy Bro.

You should really think about doing some illustrations of Video Game Girlies and Submitting to Playstation Mag., Gamepro and such. It would be great to see you do some cover work and spot illustrations. Ugg Gamepro is in Desperate need of a decent spot illustrator. Playstation Mag. is usually good about that kind of stuff.

exactly how do you go about doing that though. I always thought they contacted to you in order to do something. I would love to do a cover for a game magazine though. That new devil may cry girl...jesus she jumped out of my sketchbook and onto a video game. have you seen it?

always good to see updates! this one is a very good dump! again you do some of the best females! your caricatures and your turtle ...all feels like you had fun doing them! they are definetly fun to look at! MORE.. im still not tired of your girls. um..the girl holding the animal skull ya her arm is kinda funky but you know this...no crits

you would definetly be a good candidate for a spot illustrator for those game magazines! DO IT!

Wow, I realy love your sketches. I hate you!!! Thia just shows me that I need to keep on working on my female figures..okay I don't hate you. The line work is so fluid and ads to the sexyness of the female figures. keep up the great work!

    a really bad update. ehh...

fat peoples and a nasty portrait that i sorta fucked up. you can tell by the lines that i really wasn't into looking at them for that long. I got sick after awhile

I am drawing faces off as of lately.

More off faces. This is my wes9000 page lol. I so half assed it. That girl on the top left has the most fucked up head i have ever seen. just ignore it all together.

So that's what i did all day today.

Tomorrow i have the coolest drawing to start.

Best page ever! Your studies of faces and the female figure are paying off in this page, for sure. Keep the studies comin', and always remember, the more posts the better you'll get! Keep it up!

hey i love your updates, they look so good, your expressions and minimalistic rendering is super powerful and unique....
i dont know if you've seen this stuff or not, but its a french artist named stephane manael and i think you'll really dig it, one of my favorite sites for sure...your portrait of your friends GF reminded me of his work. enjoy

    http://www.stephanemanel.com/sommaire.htm

one of my favorites is the 8th picture over on the top row, its more of a sketchbook page...interested to hear what you or anyone else checkin the page out thinks

keep up the posting, i'll be back
