hey not a bad beginning with acrylics. This last piece actually looks ALOT like the bass player for DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979.

So if everything works out good, this will be the first page of the comic im making. Here it is in it's holy sketchiness.

Im just trying to get use to drawing panels and bubble lay outs. Im not sure if having so many face shots is good. Maybe some of them would work better panned out some.

If you can't read it i'll write it out for you here...

Kristen - Hey man, are you still waiting on me?

    Roland - I guess so...

Kristen - Sorry i made you wait. Come on, dinner's on me, okay?

    Roland - Sounds good.

Kristen - So hey, what's on your mind? You seemed to be thinking pretty hard back there.

Roland - Ohh, i was just thinking about our minds and how we all came to be. I wonder if our work will answer anything.

Kristen - Ahhh, lifes big questions. One thing is for sure, we'll get answers, but they may not be what you're looking for.

Roland - Im not too concerned about it. I know what we are doing is going to help us all, but i can't help but think at what cost.

Kristen - How do you mean?

Roland - Obviously we're going to blow a lot of peoples heads out of the water and proof tons of people wrong. But many people hold on to what they believe in as a way of living. What if proving them wrong gives them nothing to live for?

Kristen - I wouldn't worry about what other people do with your science. You shouldn't hold your self responsible for other peoples actions and poor lack of judgment.

Roland - I guess you're right, but we're already walking on a thin line here. Our luck could run out any time.

Kristen - All the morn reason to stuff up and get ready for a long night in the lab.

The shitty hand writting in the comic comes from the pchat slash ms paint thing. It's not very easy to write with for some reason.

A sketch for the teaser poster i am painting for my fake game to get everyone excited for nothing. I am doing all aspects of the game world. Still haven't thought of a good name for the game yet though.

The comic's alright. I don't think having so many close-ups is necesarily a problem, but maybe you could switch up the angles some more to keep it visually interesting. Especially in the first 4 panels.
Also, that big panel in the middle is really boring! You should totally find a different angle or something for that one. Maybe put the camera behind them and see where they're going-- give us a look at the setting. Show the buildings or wilderness or wherever they are. Right now it's completely flat! Looks like Super Mario or something.

But anyway, not bad so far, can't wait to see what you do with this!

Are these characters from previously in your thread?

Reilly - That panel is going to have a ton of robots walking by them. like a busy walk way in NYC or something.

Cool, man! Very nice coloring job. You do a really good job of giving dimensionality to the forms. Maybe a little too dark around the sides of her nose? I don't know, I'm not at my regular computer, and I think this monitor is a little dark. . .
    But anyway, good job!

I could be wrong about this, but it almost looks like her face might be skewed a bit? A flip in PS should be enough to see, maybe I'm just delusional.

obviously great stuff man. love the comic and the poster. very effective lines you got going there. last practice look sexy although a bit too smooth/slik for my taste. would love to see it in the hated acrylics.

    first rate thread,
Amazing work .The cleanliness of your lines in your last update is just great. But the perspective of the back of the scooter is a bit different from the front.Maybe I am wrong. For some reason my fav. pic is teaser poster the the game that wont be made and still hasnt been named.
    Take care .
I am eagerly waiting for the last pic to be colored.
