The conceptart.org portrait thread [OPEN THREAD!]

Feeling uninspired and looking for something to draw, I got the idea of doing quick portraits of CA people. I gave myself one hour for each, and no more. This left a lot of mistakes that poke my eyes like daggers everytime i look at them. But i have decided to be merciless. An hour is an hour. Thats it. There is no spoon.

The whole ting starts with marko. Kind of satisfied with this one.

Not that satisfied with this one, please don`t beat me up matt!

Bizarre.. what can you say? He wasnt that hard to paint, so i had time to give him a little manson hat.

I plan to do this as often as i can. If you have posted a good picture of yourself in the "what does everyone look like?" thread in the lounge, you might just find your mug here, painted by me!

thanx to hurri for giving me pointers on the marko background.

Thanks for the kind words people. Very inspiring.

Insane: I`m sorry to say, i am not going to this workshop.. I live kind of far away, and its kind of REALLYMOTHERFUCKINGEXPENCIVE to travel there..

But i am saving up to the next one after this. I am looking forward to meeting you guys. I`m sure you`ll have a BLAST in SF, and i am choking with envy.

Now, a little update. Here is LiL QoH! I fucked up quite a few places, but i won`t fix the mistakes, since the limit is ONE HOUR! (I do hope this will help me be more efficient.)

Very cool, especially considering you only had one hour for each. I think that is an excellent idea- to limit the time. I seem to work for hours and hours tweaking, and then getting frustrated and trashing it. Thanks for the idea!

I shouldn`t be painting when i`m so damn tired. I`ve learned that now, and I`m sorry i had to take it out on you, fipse!

Tigerlily: The tweaking for hours and the scrapping of projects is part of what gave me the idea of the strict one hour rule. I can sit for hours and hours too, and never be satisfied.

    dada: thanx!

That`s it for today people, Ì`m going to bed. If anyone want to post one hour portraits of ca people in this thread, please feel free to do so. This doesn`t necessarily have to be a one man show.
