    Poly modelling low to high

    Hello,
    Can anyone help me,
    How to start going from low poly modeling to high?

    Let's say I create a low-poly model in 3D Studio Max and I want to go High-Poly.
    I'm learning to design parts of wepon like Swords, Shields

    Add more details, make it come alive, study the real thing. A real-world blacksmith would have a real hard time to forge you low-poly sword...

    Yeah, you do what eezacque said, you add more geometry and do studies.
    Basically all modeling starts off with primitives/curves and work your way up in detail; and then sometimes back down depending on the intended final product/limitations.
