    Getting back into it

After being inspired by all these amazing sketchbooks here, I've decided to jump back into art.

I'm starting off with the basics. I didn't realize how hard it was to draw straight lines until I actually tried it lol.

I'm really getting bored of drawing boxes. I'm going to take a break from the drawabox lessons for a few days. Maybe I'll do some anatomy studies instead.

I found some more videos on Dynamic Sketching. I tried to follow along and draw the combined shapes and the truck, but it was harder than I thought it would be. I feel like most of the time my perspective is really off. I have been drawing cubes and boxes and cylinders for months now, and I don't really see much improvement.

If you think that your 2 point perspective is off, try learning about brewer grids. It's used for 2 point perspective with your trucks when the vanishing points are off the page. I learned about it today and it's pretty easy and quick to construct.

Thank you all for the replies, I really appreciate it.

I did some more fundamental stuff. The cylinders are terrible, I need to learn how to draw them the right way in perspective. It feels like I'm just guessing most of the time. Hopefully these will improve with more mileage.

I took a break from drawing in pen, and did some loose pencil sketches from imagination. I wish I could have this much fun drawing in pen.

I also forgot to try using a grid for the more complex forms.
