    Round #434 - Exploding Crustacean

    Topic:

    #434 Exploding Crustacean!

Aye. I was prepared to post this last week but the site was down for a while. But let's jump right to this!

The exploding Crustacean needs to have a functional feature allowing it to "explode" Think of it as a defense mechanism but not actually exploding into pieces. Does it have a poison sac that explodes? Does the shell eject and then explode? The rule is that something needs to explode from this creature without it actually dying. We can't have it resemble the Ticker from Gears of War. A week from today, I will be out of town for the Holidays and won't be returning until the 4th so you will have plenty of time in designing this nasty little beast!

FYI: A regularly scheduled COW posting will happen beginning in January.

    Due Friday, January 4th.

Scorge: Thanks man and you too man. Happy Holidays and hope everything in life and with work is going good. Just putting in work here always to keep the skills sharp. I have also been drawing a lot with line lately and wanted to break into some form work. Looking forward to seeing your entry as always man and thanks again Dave!

I was able to whip up a few thumbnails this morning, trying for more exaggerated and comic looks.

Hey Nick, good to see you keeping the artwork flowing! I really like the way the explosions are working on the first one. Looking forward to seeing the polished works.

Tyrus: Thank you much man and I'm liking the thumbs. Number 7 is standing out to me visually and conceptually, I can imagine it throwing these things and maybe blowing holes in the sides of reef to create habitat ,and also throwing it at enemies.

Still figuring out the boom-boom part. Ah well, fun to design something as always.

fabianguiza: thanks man, I don't know if I'm going to for sure go with one of those or try and conjure up something new. Scorge always brings much good competitive pressure to the forum, lol.

Scorge: wicked design as always man, I'll just never understand how you come up with some of this stuff but it's fun running along side of you and watching you do your thing. 100

    Merry Christmas to you all!
