    Digitizing, DIY

    I am an amateur sketcher, but a semi-professional singer/songwriter.
For my next album I would like to create the artwork myself.
Is there anything I need to know prior to actually sketching?
That is, do I simply sketch on paper, toss it on a scanner, and then the file will be perfect and ready to be used when I work with the manufacturers album design templates?

It is not likely to be useful without post-processing. At the very least, use a Levels like filter, to make sure your white and black is white and black.
