    sketch dumpster

    Hi guys,

I am trying to be more active on social media and online communities. I recently quit my full-time job and am pushing to increase my clients and go full-time freelance. Any comments, help, crits, suggestions, etc. are all super welcome.

    Nice to meet everyone

Something tells me you don't like drawing hair.

I was about to ask if there was any particular reason all of them were bald. Aside from that, the hands in this last picture above are pretty gnarly. I think you could put our suspicions to rest with a decent picture of someone with hair and a well rendered hand.

haha, naw i don't mind drawing hair, i just wanted to make a creepy bald witch character with some minions/pets, and this general color scheme. so i did some studies of bald women, and then made that sketch. i don't really like the composition of it, so i'm redrawing it. i'll post up the results of that effort later

There is a lot I like about these, but the place where 'your' jaws join the skin, below and in front of the ear, needs work.

the first two were studies, and the third one was a sketch/color study based on those, then i started to think about the overall composition and story and that's the fourth sketch...
this is that drawing finished (as much as i had patience to finish) and now i am starting to paint it. \\

ehh, got a bit busy with some work. here's some recent sketches and studies though
trying to work a lot on good drawings to begin painting, and speeding up the rendering process. started a tiling method that seems to be promising.. gotta get a lot better and a lot faster, and update my portfolio because it really doesn't represent my current skill level or aim very well, and i'm not getting enough work

so of course, any advice or crits all welcome

here's the steps for the last study (jude law/ted pikul) and the tile method i was talking about.. i still need to work on a lot of stuff, especially drawing, but this sped up my process quite a bit. anyone else use something similar, or have any advice on what to improve? thanks
