I like the coat, but the hard shadow line that splits her face is not so good in my opinion.

Are you saying that the shadow is incorrect, or poorly placed or is the shadow too dark? Thank you for taking the time to look at my work.

He's saying it looks too jarring, I think. It's fine on the coat because of the crisp sharp folds, but on the face it looks kinda weird. Especially when you look up at the hair, and you see her bangs are blended very delicately. You could fix this entirely by blending the sharp shadow line extending from her nose to her chin. I don't think it's too big of a deal though. I appreciate that your style is Japanese influenced and you know what hands are.

I'm saying that the shadow isn't describing the forms of her face. See how you've described her eye socket with shadow? You're not doing that below her nose for the ball of her mouth or the planes of her chin. You're describing a block shape. Additionally the area where the bridge of her nose meets her eye socket seems a tad wide to me.

S-Senpai, I'm b-blushing! Okay I could definitely see that the facial shadow being smoother would make the face rounder and more realistic. Good point.

I'm not sure why I did this, most younger anime artists hate when someone messes with their ideas of proportions, but I corrected everything on a sketchy level, best to my knowledge.
The perspective is (or should be, dynamics and stuff) from below, so her legs and waist are way too small. I'd suggest you construct figures in a 3 dimensional space for practice, maybe creating a sketchbook here aswell, can't hurt. Drawing realistic humans will also improve your stylized character artworks greatly, because you can make style - decisions based on your understanding of the underlying form.
