Added more graphite, which, if you think about it, is an amazing thing to do on a pencil drawing.

Im staring to see certain features are off in perspective and gesture(I think that’s what gesture means).

    Going to continue nonetheless.

P.s. this Stonehenge paper holds up to WAYYYYYYYYYY less abuse than the Stratford 300 I used for the last drawing.
legion Stonehenge aqua hot press 140lb eats dildos unless there are 2sides and I used the wrong one, and if that’s the case, I may have to eat a dildo

The skull have pretty concave forms. That's what your skull is lacking of. Learn how to shade them and it will help you a lot with complex objects that has convex and concave parts like a skull. Look at your cups, they're concave.
There is not that much information about it, but you can still find something.
Also, don't worry too much about gesture in that drawing, the object itself doesn't have that much gesture. It is like doing gesture for a cylinder.. you don't.

You are getting pretty good at shading, nice work.

Im not sure what you mean.
I still got several days to go on it. Please check back periodically and see if I correct parts along the lines of what your talking about. Thanks for the feedback.

I don't talk english very well and because of that i can't talk about this subject in depth. But basically the problem may be in the temporal (The sides of the skull) that reads kinda flat, more like a box in your drawing.
You can read this to know what i mean, it's not that complex, but it is important when shading

Also, be careful when doing reflected lights. Our eyes see them more bright than it actually is.
https://www.dorian-iten.com/articles/ Look at this page for more info and tips on light. He's a pretty good teacher.

I see the area your talking about.
I keep on trying to get that part right and keep backing off
I looked at some illusions of a skull and see the concave better on them. My skull replica doesn’t read as much as the illustrations but that does help me in what I am looking at. Thanks for the critique. I am taking it under advisement.
And the reflected light comment is also a big help too.

    Thanks again

You have very good sketches, and your sculpture is quite impressive. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product of your skull drawing.

Hey thanks. I have started on the teeth and hope to be done with them today if I feel up to it long enough. I keep messing with the back of the skull and every time I think I got it right, I see it’s not good. Oh well.

I killed most of the paper. Now that I took a pic I can see a few places that I’ll definitely go over but mostly done. The teeth are hard to look at cause I went over them too many times and the paper sucks. Gonna work on cast shadows on the ground, slope of forehead and then the book a little next.

Thanks. Nah I’m done. Kinda tired of working on this one. Plus that’s about all the highlights that are reflecting from it in this position.

    Just stop it!

Like a moth to the flame I decided to “ refine” a couple of things. Put some more highlights!

    Yes, another one.

Ruined last one. This one I’m gonna try to take my time and get the proportions and perspective perfect. Here’s the rough block in that will go thru more changes I’m sure.

Damn dude, that skull looks awesome, I don't know why you are redoing it.

Like a moth into flame I guess, like you said lol.

You're really good with value, I am jealous.

Keep it up man, and thanks for taking a look at my sketchbook.

    New skull on book.

If it came out right, the first one was about 2 weeks ago. The second was finished last night.
Wow am I discovering my need for seeing and a method for accuracy that I can understand.
Nope, just my most recent one came thru.
I have drawn and redrawn everything many times. It is getting closer though.

I got sick of looking at the skull and endlessly adjusting. Took a fun break and experimented with possible color/texture I may incorporate into the drawing.
