Draw from life. Seeing light interact with form is what you need. These are all suffering from a lack of good lighting.

Not only values, but drawing from life will help with your accuracy. If faces are what you like to paint you could do your own self-portraits as practice.

study planes of the head to understand effect of light on faces better and make sure all features track, for example on the second one lips are not set on the centre line

Take care of the planes of the face to have volume in the drawing.

    Hi Ida,

Personally, I am overwhelmed with your nice multiple pieces. I would show one or two for criticism request per.

My favorite is 4th one down. It's challenging to draw underneath the jawline (heads looking up). It needs to show bottom jaw meeting the upper neck.

Hi there! Digital painting is a beast. I think that you would benefit from starting with painting tutorials to get some usable techniques down. Your handle on facial proportion is decent, but I think the pieces are falling short due to your lack of experience with the program. https://www.ctrlpaint.com/ is an awesome resource for learning how to handle digital painting, and how to create believable form. Do a few of his tutorials, and I promise you'll be a better painter. Once you get those basics down, start doing a bunch of skin studies. Remember, skin is not monotonous (meaning, it's not just peach, or brown etc), it contains a multitude of hues and changes due to light source and blood concentration (a person's nose and ears are a bit pink because blood is close to the surface!)

I can see that you're putting in the effort, sometimes it just takes finding the right resource to gain the skills you're hoping to have.

    Good luck
