Note: I decided to do my figure drawing exercises in pen from now on. I'll post these in bulk around weekends.

Taken from my phone, excuse the bad quality. I'm still trying to get the hang of sketching traditionally. I feel like using a pen instead of a pencil is messing me up, since I don't have a way to erase mistakes. Any advice would be appreciate.

Look'n good man. I really like those low angle head sketches.

You can get really fine lines with a ballpoint pen. Try brushing it lightly above the paper until ink starts appearing, then keep that same height and speed until you need to go darker. It's a really satisfying way to model your forms. Also keep your tip clean. That helps a lot.

I'm using Stabilo point 88 fine 0,4. It's a bit thick anyway, so I know what you're saying. I definitely want a finger pen for this kind of sketching. When I did my drawings today it came out a little better...I think I was just rusty, in hindsight. Still, I'm having some issues with my accuracy when it comes to drawing what I see.

Loose sketch of an illustration I'll be working on:

Nice to see you work from imagination. That Mr. Splits is low-key creepy.

I want to start studying facial planes more closely. I'm also having some trouble with my drawing staying proportionally accurate.

Beautiful sense of color and brushstrokes here! Super playful and fun
I think studies of Pixar movie stills/screencaps would be right down your alley as you can hit both color and composition with em
