Post Looking for drawings of Masters

    Hello Everyone,

I would love to receive some suggestions on old masters who were extreamly good at pencil drawings in particular landscapes, backgrounds (if it's animation cels and etc). I keen to learn (understand) on line weights, compostion, foliage representation and etc. If anyone knows good read on this topic I would be very happy to hear about it!

Looking forward to your answers guys!

Thank you! Actually right now I'm reading J.D Harding's book On drawing Tree and Nature, and he recommends studying masters by copying and then trying to do it from memory, I'm looking for bigger variety to choose from I just keep bumping in a lot of etchings :/

All of Hardings books are in the public domain with 100's of images available online. If you want to try someone else look at Ted Kautzky Pencil Broadsides and Pencil Pictures but avoid the combined edition which was edited and makes no sense structurally because they left out the instructions for the lessons and just republished the images
    here are some Kautzky pictures

If you're interested in animation backgrounds, check out this blog it's a great resource to study classically-animated movie backgrounds.
