    Garv's Sketchbook

Hello everyone, I am learning how to draw and paint so will be trying to post drawings here regularly as a way of staying consistent.

Here is my first drawing of a skeleton, copied from the Atlas of Human Anatomy for the Artist by Stephen R. Peck

the proportions are a bit off, the legs are too short and the feet are too long. Look at that last image, his foot is almost length of his leg up to his knee. also, if you want to learn how to draw humans, learning the skeleton helps, but you should really start by drawing humans. Because without that knowledge the skeleton is completely meaningless. Now, despite some of the issues, I think the skeletons do look good. But seeing as you can only really get one done a day, I would say spend less time rendering skeletons and more time learning about more important stuff. Like head proportions and STUFF.
