    Unit logo sketches

Looking for some constructive criticism on these sketches before finalizing them. They will be used for unit shirts.

The top looks okish as as a sketch.. though I would think you would want all the wings to be in frame. The bare legs look to be just floating there.
Unclear how this is going to look vectorized.

The dog/bear thing has more issues..
First being the non mechanical paw looks like a broken foot.
The mechanical arm looks to be.. ah.. pleasuring himself.
    The ears are haphazardly placed.
You better simplify that fur tufts.
The mouth doesn't look to line up both halves.
My commentary is a gift to you.

modi raises a good point about vectorising these, especially with that eagle's legs. You need to resolve the image before you start tracing over it, at the moment you've not really provided yourself a strong and sure base to trace over.

.. and don't forget to make the bear not look like it's jacking off.. unless that's the "unit" you were looking for. In that case you may want to accentuate the bird's junk.

    Thank you for this!
I will be light tabling this to a larger paper once I get the details fleshed out, so wings will be full at that point.
I have worked on the legs to connect the talons. Struggling a bit, but I think itís working. Balancing realism with exaggeration of detailed areas is tricky, which is why I went looking for help.
When I light table, I bolden the lines to make the image easier to transfer to CG. It may or may not get vectorized. The nice thing about shirts is the print area is pretty well defined, so fidelity loss isnít a huge concern.

True, I was looking for some technique help before going any heavier. It is just a sketch at this point, but I have a hard time not filling in details as I go. The next step is to define my lines more, then transferring them to a clean slate before scanning them in digitally.

I donít care for the paw either, but bear claws are oddly flexible and long. Iím just not sure how to make him look like heís swiping his claw without exaggerating his wrist flexion.
Good call on the cyborg arm. I will pull it up a bit higher.
Iíll do something with the ears. I see what you mean there.
Most of the Ďfurí is just scratchy sketch lines. I will simplify before digitizing.
I donít see the mouth issue, but looking closer, I do think the nose needs to be centered up better.

Again, thank you for this. Itís just what I needed to look at this more closely.
