    Get quicker to the flow.

Haven't been drawing and paintning for a while. I realize that you have to do some measuremen't lines and comparising lines before you settle with the big
whole of a sketch be it plen air or figure, But often when I get going later on I see everything is to small or big when I get in to the flow so I have to redo something or everything.
What's the ideal way of getting to the flow the fastest?? Do you guys also redo big things when you paint/sketch life? And also the quality of my stuff vary quite much depending on whether
or not I get into the flow greatly or not, any tip on how mentally approach drawing/paintning so that you reach that more often?

I'ts just a bit depressing when you sketch something and you knbow you could be doing it 30% better really if you were on top of things.

    so your'e thoughts?

use a viewfinder with a grid in the beginning until you see relative proportion more accurately.
