    Post Environment 8

This is my first post ever on this forum, so, hi to all

I have not really a name for this piece, this was just for practice (technique, composition, storytelling)!
What do you think can be improved?
    So let the critique flow

The first thing that threw me off was that door. It seems way angled compared to the giant center line you have framed up or even compared to the window.

The lack of a ceiling seems weird.

Too shiny of the side of the counter.

I am left to wonder what the front of the store looks to the right of the door way.

Outside the door's window is way too busy and took me a bit to figure out what it is. Maybe the contrast of the pasted in image or something..

What's up with the odd tile shadow right infront of the door?

That door way is way too big.
My commentary is a gift to you.

    I love it.

The crisp edges and textures all over everything does make it seem unreal. Also, you've got a serious tangent problem between the counter's edge and the door's trim. Lastly, I'd crop away that dark wedge shape on the far right of the image or better yet, bring it over more to where it overlaps part of the white door. That would also help give the sense that he's hiding something and add depth to the image.
    Sketchbook

I mean, would it be so bad if all anyone remembers about me is that I was a lover of art, of women, and wine? Perhaps I reach too far.
