@Lege - oooh craps sorry I thought I replied to you already
Good to hear your work situation has improved
Art wouldn't be fun if there was nothing to strive for.... After "seriously" starting art again last year, I found that art has become just as addictive as gaming. At least this is useful xD
Aw thank you for all your kind words, it's great to have done this challenge with you

Gehehe, yeees at least we are having fun, see you around for the next challenge

@edgaej: I often get tempted to want to do more humanoid creatures and plant like creatures but that obviously goes against the rules, more tentacles and crab legs is the ideal way to go I guess. Either way, just have fun with it man. FTW, if you're getting paid get picky, if not enjoy what you do, LEARN, and make it work best for you and your interests. I think the key thing about this particular forum is just having artists working on a similar topic that can happily bounce ideas and crtiques off one another, it's nice to have that community aspect since artist life can be lonely as fuh.

@lege1... I feel the same as you and trixstar regarding this forum. It is a great place to self-learn and collab with other artists.

neopatogen: Your creature is rad as is man =) Everything could always be better but we just strive to our best and try to be better than we were yesterday. By the way, great use of values and edges on your piece, the creature reads really good in opinion. I look forward to you doing some color work. Is there a reason that you decided not to go color with this piece?

Hey there guys, really exciting to see this place picking up again, wanted to throw down some ideas.

@Neopatogen: Welcome to the COW! Really nice concept, and a good rendering as well. A lot of cool elements going on there. My only critique would be the length of the legs, if this guy is meant to be a jumper then he'd probably need some lower appendages a little more similar to a raptor or kangaroo for that function.

@Lege: Thanks for keeping this place alive buddy, there will always be need for a creature creation place like this. Mad props to you for holding down the fort.

    Whoa great work @scorge !
They're all awesome! I think I especially like bottom left cause it's so funny and exaggerated, also smth about the running/charging pose reminds me of a hog piglet Also seems most fresh design-wise to me personally.
I'm really happy I discovered this small but engaging creature-focused place

@neopatogen... I had seriously envisioned this as red and white, I don't know why. Good job coloring this.

@neopatogen - Your creature looks great, I love your choice of colors

@Scorge - All your creatures look awesome, but as for a guardian the top right one is my favorite
-The bottom left I'd adopt as a pet

@scorge to me 2 (top right) looks extremely smart so I'd rather have him as a companion in an intergalactic journey to play chess with and discuss stuff. Bottom right, on the contrary, has something of a fighting dog to it.
Well it's up to the artist to decide, looking forward to see the finifhed work!

Scorge: killed it with the crab legs and tentacles, lol! I especially like the beard details as minor as it is, it is a great accent.
