    Is this figure working?

    *update: I've come to the conclusion that I need to do more gesture drawing focusing on weight and balance rather than proportions and accurate gesture.

    His arms and legs a too short, and his shoulder girdle needs definition, the strap on his right shoulder will not sit there comfortably in reality, and his hands and feet need work.

    Thanks, though most of the shortening is intentional, was trying to go for a dwarf-like figure. Good point on the strap, and it's definitely mostly unfinished. Appreciate the points and observations!

    Also, I'd like to add some examples of my studies in case there are flaws in the way I'm practicing. I tried doing exaggerated mannequins for gestures, but it never felt 'right'.

    In that case, push it further. We know that Tyrion and Gimli are dwarves, not just because of their length, but because of their build, or even just from their face, in Tyrion's case.
