    EOW #318: Servant's Getaway - VOTING

    EOW #318: Servant's Getaway - VOTING

A poverty stricken servant has dealt with monotonous duties for most of his/her life, the quiet of the castle (doesn't have to be a castle), the abusive treatment by their "master" and associates. It's time for the servant to get away for a bit and spend time in solace, in comfort, so they can enjoy a break, a timeout. It's a servant's getaway spot, a place to recharge, collect thoughts -- possibly escape -- or hide if things make a turn for the worse.

    Requirements:
-Design an environment showing a servant's getaway. The topic is open to interpretation, so a getaway can mean a lot of things: peace and quiet, recovery, escape, or leisurely excursion.
    Deadline for entries: June 10,
    2018.

    Good luck, indentured artists!

Mailman: I like number 3, it could be interesting to see the light from the flame lighting up the getaway

Here's couple of my sketches. The idea was some kind of huge castle/ fortress/ palace and the servant would sometimes climb to the roofs to look at the view. Not happy with any of these yet, I want more cluttered and weathered looking building and maybe a bit more melancholic mood.

@Anton Juntunen - Great sketches! The first sketch sort of reminds me of the huge building from Spirited away

Trixtar: Yeah I noticed it looked a bit too similar to the Spirited Away building so I decided to go with more European architecture.

Here's my final piece, not really happy with the outcome but it is what it is.

And here's the sketch that I actually like more than the finished piece, it looks more lively.
