Critique my speedpaint if you want. I'd appreciate it

I made a speedpaint so you can see the techniques I use. Any tips on how to be more efficient with procreate? Or just real life painting tips I could apply? Thanks!

Well for one I wouldn’t be tracing photos that don’t belong to you. Bad habit at best and at worst it could get you in legal trouble

Tracing can be used as learning: http://www.muddycolors.com/2012/07/1...about-tracing/ but you shouldn't be in spot where you cannot build up image without tracing I have seen people even drawing muscles over photos so they can understand it better.

This is how you should think of construction http://drawabox.com/
You should learn some anatomy so pick up book by Andrew Loomis (both books) Proko also have good sources of it

And besides, it won't teach you as much or as well as observation, in the long run. E.g. my focus was drawn to the hand, using a 'reclining, jaw-support' pose for a 'nervous collar-tug'. The orientation of the heel of the palm in the photo, and the way it was incorporated into the drawing (using little more than the outer contour) creates a slightly disproportionate hand in the finished piece.
    ...which is only my opinion.
