I think the best way to think of this creature is how you'd wear the actual beetle in order to shield yourself. Without drawing a human, explain to us how this shield could be attached to the human body. Is it circular like a real battle shield?

Yes. Now imagine how a human arm would fit in order to hold it like a shield. Does a human even hold it? Maybe its appendages can wrap around an arm and part of the shoulder.

Bobby Rebholz: Definitely a bit of a challenging topic, it's like trying to pull the sword from the stone without showing the stone, but I'll try best to get back around to things and see to continuing trying to find a solution. On the whole prioritize thing in life right now cause work is keeping me very busy. Hope all is going good with you and the new addition.
