    Ground is bit flat try to add bit more form to those craters http://drawabox.com/ this should help with how to think about forms
    As things get further they get closer and closer to value and softer take a look some landscape old masters like Bierstadt, Thomas Moran, Thomas Cole, also you should paint more from life as it helps with forms, colors, how light work etc.
    One last thing what kind of place is that moon is it hostile, calm or what, as questions about piece as you progress also do some research as well.

    I agree with precedent commentary. The ground is really flat compared to space and planets which are really well done. Look to good photographies of canyon / rock deserts for inspiration.
