How do you draw animals in perspective?

I am a beginner artist who is trying to draw animals in perspective, but it just looks like they have massive paws/legs rather than the body converging as a whole, or I try to distort it and it ends up looking either deformed or fat. I am especially struggling with drawing the perspective from a worm's eye view, getting smaller as you go up, I'm not even sure if I have the correct idea of what a worm's eye view is meant to be. I'm not sure if you are supposed to see underneath the animal in that viewpoint.

I know this is a vague question but I am really struggling and I want to know how to practive perspective on animals.

Use basic construction just like for humans, you should understand how ellipses and/or boxes work in perspective this should be helpful as well
