    Post Untitled work

I have been trying to learn a bit of a realistic drawing style and here is the result.

I would like to get some overall critique and feedback. Could be shadows, anatomy, hair, etc. I'm listening to any wisdom you might share

You're off to a nice start, friend. You brought up a number of things, like "shadows, anatomy, hair", but for sake of ease I'm going to address the elephant in the room: the bodily proportions are nowhere near realistic (which, per your post, is what you were going for). My recommendation (and this is something you'll hear A LOT here) is to A.) spend some time doing non-digital figure drawing (it's faster, and you have more chances to practice and learn) and B.) if you're going to do a painting use a really solid reference. These are good habits to get into now while you're starting off and will pay off in the long run big time.

This wisdom is brought to you by a guy who came to this forum many years ago with a similar goal who should have been a better listener.

EDIT: just realized after I hit post, is that one of the androids from DBZ?

Some references that may help, from DA, please of course read their stock rules.
    Obviously NSFW.

None of them are the exact pose, but gives you and idea of how a covered big breasts look as well as hands and arms proportions. Also ways to have the pose more interesting.

I have never understood that as reference should be in this used as guide to help finish this painting, not copy it exactly as people in DA thinks. Off course its safer to use own photos as reference and then you dont have to edit anything

Hi there Good effort here. Remember that realistic bodies are translations of a lot of different things. Bones, muscles, fat, skin, hair, lighting. The breasts look rather impossible. As much as 1980s anime would have you believe, boobs are not perfect spheres on the front of the body. They're just fat hanging around some weird organs. Most of the time they have a round bottom and are somewhat flattish on top. Even when pushed up, there might be cleavage between them, but very seldom do you see a line above the breasts, maybe a shadow implying roundness. Judging from the angle of her arms, her nipples would be visible.

If you simply smooth the top of the breasts into the rest of the chest, that will help the feel of the anatomy quite a lot.

Practice torsos and the relationship between neck and shoulders. Focus on the way ribs and hips affect the stomach area.

    Best of luck!
