It's been a long time since I posted here last, and I would love any feedback you might have on this concept piece. Thank you for your time

Hey there, I like the look and feel and lighting looks pretty good. One thing that I notice is it seems the perspective is a little inconsistent throughout the painting. Not sure if you’re going for an isometric projection or true perspective but either way it’s doesnt match up. Also the red stripes on the body flattens the appearance of the body

Hey There. Thanks so much, not sure how that happened, I made and rendered a 3d model for reference, must have just missed something along the way. Thank you so much for catching this, and thank you for your time and advice.

The ellipses look okay to me, the top one is a bit deformed, probably through painting over by hand, but what diegloas is trying to convey with his red lines I'm at a loss to tell.

If you're already using 3D as a base you might try rendering out a clown pass to be able to select the shapes better and to "stay within the lines" easier, so to speak. If you're open to expand the 3D portion of your skillset you could also look into texturing a 3D base like this, e.g. with Substance Painter or 3D Coat, and reducing the amount of manual overpainting needed.
