    Non-Fading Black Ink

Can anyone point me to an Amazon or Dick Blick link to where I can buy ink that will be as truly black as it can be and not dry dull or dark gray? I would like to ink a pencil sketch I did and have it be as black as possible and not fade over time.

Even if you just tell me what to look for I will find it on Amazon or Dick Blick.

    Thank you.

You’re looking for something called “archival” inks. They’re much more resistant to UV damage than most inks. I believe Micron sells quite a few of them. However nothing will be pure black forever.

I've used the Micron pens for years. They have pigmented, waterproof ink and the lines are still black, even after many years and applications of watercolor. I use Winsor & Newton India ink in dip pens, it's got shellac in it and I can use it on anything, even mylar.
