    First portfolio critique

Hello ! It's my 1st ever post right here.
I don't want to make this post extremely long so -
I'm 20yo now and after years of practising/studying decided to create my first ever illustration portfolio so I can start being more serious with art ( in term of making money/ working with clients ) (: Im in love with flat interesting shapes /clean graphic read and simpification... and portraits as you can see below
I would be incredible grateful if someone would kick my ass with some critique when it comes to technical aspects and quality of these pieces in general.

    BUT
I think my main problem is about finding my target. I know I love illustration, would love to be able to work with clients and become better and better.
And actually that's everything I know for now. I've send these pieces to artists I admire and everyone asked - What is your target ? / What are you doing it for ?
Then I realised that I know nothing about how could I use my skills / What is my target.
I was always into concept art/ art for games but changed my mind recently and now I don't really know what to do.
Is here anyone who had similar experiences ?
If not - what are your thoughs about this ?

Well I'm just new here as well so this my first critique, if you want a decent critique your going to have to be a bit more specific, so your works semi abstract so what do you want comments on! the abstractness,
anatomy the use of colour your ability to blend?, composition perspective or lack of, Tonal disreflection, haha just kidding made that one up, Im sure it exists on a higher plane somewhere in future, what are you seeking my friend, you want an answer without asking a question?

Hey there Sabu! i totally identify with the target issue! i'm also trying to build a portfolio, and i don't know to whom i'm making it XP, your work is absloutly wonderful! ever since you love characters so much, maybe you can consider character design! i think you would do well. i'm sorry i'm not much of help, but i'm rooting for you, good luck!

You know Cedric Peyravernay? Could probably fill his role.

    Or poster design involving people.

Beautiful work Sabu! Certainly seems like you could do some illustration work. Love the graphic nature and clean lines, and your choice of colors. I like using red for the first pic of the guy.
To be critique-y, the arm of the moustache guy doesn't look quite right anatomically, and the rendering of the shirt sleeve is not quite as clean as the rest of the picture. But overall it is very nice, keep up the good work.

Hey, the paintings themselves look great! As a portfolio, it feels a little limited. They are all upper body shots. I feel like there needs be some examples of other poses, parts of body, actions (etc...).
