    Trouble with Design

Hello, I'm having quite some trouble with this piece, I find the Design rather boring, but don't know how to improve it, also I have the feeling that something about the anatomy is off, but I can't really tell what. Thank you in advance for your advice

From what I can see, the left arm looks thinner and more crooked than the right arm, her shoulders look uneven and the necklace looks like it's clipping out of her neck. Also, you should look up references of women wearing coresets since the one she's wearing doesn't seem to affect her body shape that much.

As for the design try thinking about who the character is, what her personality is like and what influences her choice of clothing and presentation. You should also think about the kind of society she lives in as that can affect what she looks like too.

I've noticed as well that you have a hard time drawing shoes-I'd recommend doing some studies of shoes and maybe feet as well.

There is definitely wrong with her right arm (left of the pic). It looks longer than it should be. Maybe that shoulder thingy (proper terminology) got in the way when you were sketching the arm.

You could benefit for a paintover of her pose over the dress.

Also, I think she looks bored herself. Munchies wisely suggested developing the character a bit and show that personality with her clothes, accessories and even the pose.

On a completely counter-intuitive suggestion, maybe she is actually boring and you can accentuate that even more? Hehe.

Her anatomy issues asside for a moment the lighting is all over the place mate! you need to think of her as a 3d live figure!
all the shadows are wrong and they give no hints to her form!

Look up figure drawing for all its worth by Andrew Loomis and buy it on Amazon.
It will help a hell of a lot and start from a bare figure then when you are happy with the shapes tones and gesture put some clothes on it and move it to a finished figure.

    sounds clinical but it works!
I hope this helps you out!

In addition to all of the above, make sure to avoid symmetrical poses, which are typically boring.

Okay so I studied a lot of anatomy and am still studying; I tried to improve my light, how I draw shoes and the design, so here is my second try:
