    Critique lighting

Now I'm study lighting. This is my latest work. I think that something's wrong here. How can i improve or fix it?

Where abouts is the sun? Directly down like the noon day? If so then that changes the shadows on the girl's legs, underneath her, the alley, the lacking of ball shadows, shadows over the spices, in the shop, on the pole, etc.
My commentary is a gift to you.

Is this a dream you had? If so, I hesitate to correct anything. I keep a dream journal that recalls very specific and weird imagery that I enjoy.

I do believe the girl isn't standing in perspective with the ground plane. To see her feet from this angle would require a less elevated vantage point for the viewer. Luckily you could just dab in some more foot in places that need it. Also, in general the direction and intensity of the lighting is inconsistent across the various forms. Composition-wise, it's rather dull. You've basically bisected the image with the green pole. Each section would be stronger by itself than they are together. Mess with the crop tool and you'll see. Or you could just put your hand or a napkin over one part. That would work too.

I mean, would it be so bad if all anyone remembers about me is that I was a lover of art, of women, and wine? Perhaps I reach too far.
