My pictures aren't going through the insert image tool- HELP!

I haven't been able to post much of anything on my sketchbook because my photos won't go through. I've been recommended to switch to digital to get better at the fundamentals, but i've been having issues with getting the pictures in, so I havent been able to post. Usually I take a picture with my phone then email it to myself, then try to put it through, and it won't go through. I don't know if it's too big, because the images seem to be big and I don't know where to resize them, or whether it's because they're PNGS..i'm absolutely lost.

Also, do you have any advice for how to record yourself drawing traditionally to get critique? Before when I practiced on digital I could record myself and people could see where I was going wrong, but now they can't really see that, so I was wondering how would I set that up so I can still get critique? I don't have much but my phone, and don't have money for anything expensive, so i'm not sure what I should do. Advice needed. Thank you!

    Worst. Advice. Ever.

Also, are your images below 1500px and 500kb in size?

I think he might have meant it the other way around?

Sorry Joe, I butchered your post by accident. Early morning moderation.

And I hope you are right!

Make them max 1500 px and 500kb in size. You can use a number of free programs like irfanview to help with this.

Yep, he is! I was typing quickly, so I meant to say "from digital". I was having issues because my phone pictures wouldn't go through, and I wanted to figure out how to record myself drawing on paper like I could in digital to get critique. Sorry for the mishap!

    That's a relief!

Don't worry about recording yourself. It's a pointless hassle. Rather show us the stuff you have drawn, take in the critiques and apply it to the next image and so on. It's a good method.
