Round #404 The Flying Squirrel Monkey

    Topic:
    #404 The Flying Squirrel Monkey!

"It can't be. It just can't be!" But wait, yes it can. While traveling through the South American rainforest, you spot something rustling high up in the trees. Your tour guide doesn't notice as he's traversing across a rocky terrace. The rest of the group is too involved in the beautiful scenery to even worry about a strange sound. But, you hear it again and this time a giant, dark shape casts a shadow by your body. The rest of the group looks up and to everyone's shock, a flying squirrel monkey leaps from one tree to the other. This is a new species and one that apparently does not like intruders into its territory. You better duck and find cover because this beast packs one hell of a flying punch thrust.

    Hey everyone,

I totally forgot to mention one more thing I'd like to do for COW. I'm going to unlock the WIPS threads beginning with #401. Since there's no more judging (until a future date), I think it would be cool to leave open the threads in case artists find a specific topic they'd still like to design for. This way, it will keep all of the WIPS threads up and running in order to produce a continuous flow of ideas. We'll be able to go back and post finished pieces whenever we're comfortable.

Very cool on unlocking the past threads and cool topic here. Gonna conduct some studies till I build up my visual library enough to feel comfortable to take a stab at this topic.

Perhaps the end... anyway I don't want to look up and find that creature in real life. I hope so.

nice work guys , fast finding my time squeezed with the Christmas holidays creeping up.
Lege1 - studies are around idea, I think I ought to try doing more.
Stridiggio - nice progress , like the lighter background in your last one as it makes the creature pop forth for more of a dramatic effect.

Finally had some time to work on this concept. Lighting is still off, but I will move on to other topics. It was fun.
