I'm just a beginner myself (so I'm not very knowledgeable) but these look incredibly good to me - especially fro someone who started to draw only a little over a month ago! If I only looked at the drawings, I'd say you started 1-3 years ago.

Thanks I spend most of my time working on the Draw a Box lessons. They have been a great learning resource. I find the structure of the course really works, with the lesson first and then the homework challenges.

250 box and cylinder challenge from Draw a Box. I haven't posted every page because there are so many. I found the cylinders more difficult than the boxes.

For someone that calls themselves a beginner that's some darn good line work. Looks like you've been doing it for years. Some nice animals too.

The degree of most of your ellipses is really off and many are angled the wrong way (usually the ones further away from the viewer).
#23 is an extreme example, the first ellipse looks fine but the one at the other side of the cylinder is turned the wrong way. It should be turned 90 degrees so it's minor axis lines up with the direction of the cylinder.
Try observing how cylinders work from real life. You could look at a normal glass so you can see the ellipses on both ends.

Thanks for the encouraging words, AJams.

I really struggled with the cylinders and could see I wasn't really improving even by the end of the challenge. That's a great tip on using a glass, I really appreciate the feedback and I can see it more now that it's been pointed out. Thanks Tiggeraz.

Everyday objects exercise from Draw a Box. Really tough set of exercises. Still making mistakes with cylinders, among other things. Just have to keep working at it

Hey, I used to have the same mouse. Spoiler: the wheel will break eventually...
