    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Round #398 Mega Tail

    Topic:
    #398 Dark Matter!

Dark matter has never been observed. It's a hypothetical form of matter that explains some of the mysteries of the universe. But what if a creature formed in dark matter and became visible to us Earthlings? Now is your time to design such a mysterious creature and the fun part is anything goes because we've never directly observed what the matter even looks like!

    Deadline
    Tuesday, September 5th, 10:00pm EST.

    Finals go here: =http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...49#post4037249

@Bobby: Sucks that COW has been so dead. I myself have tried to at least get some sketches or wips up where I can. Just want to thank you for keeping this going regardless and let you know that the topics you're coming with are definitely cool ones. I don't know what's going on with COW but it's sad to not see any activity in these forums. Hopefully now that Summer is coming to an end people will get back on their shyt with trying to develop their skills and flex their imaginations some. Thanks again for everything though man. I'll try to advertise some on my social media when I get a chance and see if that helps at all. Also, I'm wondering if people are interested but they find the navigation system of the site here complicated and confusing.

Lege1 really cool creature, the texture and scale are really impressive, i took another shot at the black matter creature, a more physical version.

Ksleezy: Thanks much man and I try my best =) I see you working traditionally. Are you able to work digitally? Either way, your second attempt is looking a lot better than the first one. My best advice is to try to reference more animals and insects when creating your creature as it will help a lot. Try to get a good foundation down with the drawing and then move into the rendering more. You can get some badass creature sketches going traditionally. Check out Carlos Huante, he's a pro creature maker that does phenomenal work with the pencil. Keep doing your best.

@Lege1 - Thanks dude! We can't let COW die. I sense a resurgence anyway. Not sure when it will happen but I know it will.

What is it about dark matter that makes us all think about tentacles?
Here's what I've go to so far.
    Looking forward to the finals!
