Round #392 Nine-horned, Leaping Dagger Mouth

    Topic:
#392 Nine Horned, Leaping Dagger Mouth!

You spot something two hundred yards away in the open field. You can't quite figure out what it is as tall grass covers most of its bodily features. Just as you brush it off as a boulder, it hits you...It's something you won't escape from. You see it leaping over the tall grass and gaining speed. Where can you hide?

    Deadline:
    Tuesday, July 25th, 10:00pm EST.

Here is my thoughts on this animal.
It's an active hunter that tracks and ambushes prey. It senses vibration and sound via the resonance inside it's horn array and has a keen sense of smell housed in the central face horn. The claws are venomous and inject a hyperactive corrosive paralytic. Once prey is paralyzed, the leader waits until the venom has liquefied the internals then stabs the prey with its beak, slurping down the nutrient slurry.
