    Round #390 The Brain Mite

    Topic:
    #389 The Brain Mite!

You can't quite figure out why your thoughts are changing. Your concentration is getting worse in day-to-day tasks while your need to build nests out of garbage have increased for no apparent reason. Suddenly, you have visions of tiny, swarming critters eating everything in their paths. You have a Brain Mite. Not much is known about their origin or why they chose humans to infest, but this tiny creature is no bigger than a Gnat. It controls your brain by attaching itself to the Cerebral Cortex; making you do all of the work in building giant nests for it to eventually live in after it makes you go crazy and die.

    Deadline:
    Monday July 11th, 2017 10:00PM EST.

Thumbails to start off with, some of which include background environment. I like idea of it having this antenna / stem on its head that lights up, alerting its fellow mites it has found and taken control of the cerebral cortex.

@Lege1 Great studies! really like the exoskeleton of the design.

So I know one of the rules is the final artwork needs to be 2d only, but I was getting stuck sketching and just needed to do some sculpting in Zbrush -> paintover in photoshop to get out of the rut. This won't be used for the final piece, just posting to show more of my initial thoughts etc.
