    Kabelus Sketchbook

Sup, I'm 19 years old and trying to learn concept art by "myself", I'm starting a sketchbook to push myself to draw and paint regularly, but also to get feedback and a sense of community

Not bad. Do you have some concept art related work?

Hey Tiggeraz, you previously saw my chinese spearwoman Art Critique, advising me to work on values, that's why i did this portrait in black and white , since I'm new at digital I almost only have pencil and paper character designs ... I started a few on digital but its just sketches mainly like thoses one , tell me if you want me to send you some paper concept

Oh, it's you! Sorry I didn't recognize you.
Nice to see that you took my advice and studying values. Also, there is nothing wrong with posting the character designs you did on paper. There are many concept artists who start with designs traditionally, like Bobby here: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...-14?highlight=

Btw, that Warhammer character looks like he has chopsticks coming out of his nose. Maybe not the best choice for a badass character.

I think I'll try to fully convert to digital now, to get into the actual job ASAP... But here is some of my pencil original characters, some of them are more than one year old, it's just what I have at arms reach at the moment :pName: 20170322_145136.jpg

Wow, I gotta say that your traditional work is infinitely better than your digital attempts. Looking at your pencil sketches I think you will get the grasp of digital quickly, you already got a really nice sense of form and making things have weight.

That looks pretty decent but the fuzzy edges are very distracting. I think this would benefit from harder edges to distinguish the different parts of the armor.
    Looking forward to see more.

I also prefer hard edges, yes, but I'm still struggling with brush choices and parameters ahah, thanks for the feedback as always !

Hey guys, long time without posting ... OC i started yesterday, showing you steps so you can correct me better, I starting putting basic colors, now work on light & shadow so i can finish it and hide the linework ( reducing the size to post really takes something out of it :/ , maybe I dont save on the correct format ? Or wrong option ? Wrong image size at the start ? idk )
