I'll get things started here! Been working on some thumbnails and I'm thinking of going insectoid for this.

Number 12 has been catching my eye and everyone else so I gotta go with that one. Just playing around with the shape of it here.

@BobbyRebholz: Really liked your thumbnails. The style of thumbnails reminded me of the Bridgman style of drawing where balance and rhythm are seen in the work. Very nice stuff and I like your choice of rendering out man. So far it's looking really good. What's your preferred method of approach majority of the time; line or form, black and gray or straight into color? Keep it going. I am trying to contribute where I can this week. It's a rough week opening up shop my way but I really like this topic.

@Lege1 - Thanks! I approach with line the majority of the time. I used to bust out with color first but I realized that for me personally, I do a better job if I go grayscale first.

Here's an update. I decided to go a more dark and mysterious route.

@BobbyRebholz: Very cool on the line and gray scale. I am all over the place with process, so I got back and forth between it all. Sometimes I just want to settle on one way of doing things but I just do as I feel. I like your creature a lot and the new wip is looking really good.

This is what I have so far.

I've struggled a lot with the design. This is where I am at the moment. Still lots to do by tomorrow, like adding more scales over the creature's body...
Yours looks amazing Bobby. Really curious where you will take yours Lege1.

@BobbyRebholz: I see what you did there on the tail and it's pure awesome! I really like the concept and creature as a whole.

I think this is going to be it for this round.
