Z4m97's art journey! woohooo such a creative title!

    Hello there!
My name's Daniel, I'm a 20 years old guy who started drawing at 3 years old, dropped at 5, picked up at 15, and started seriously 3 years ago.
I'm here to improve in everything to become a professional artist, but i have a lot of ground to cover, so, i hope i will be able to update every single day, and well, that's it, enjoy these gesture-like aberrations

Nice work Daniel, your drawings show a good sense of form. Do you want to pursue anything specific as an artist? Illustration for example?

haha, is it that obvious? xD
i've been trying to get into illustration since i started, but a couple of months ago i felt like all i knew were tricks to "cheat" my way throwugh the pieces, and they ended up looking rather dull, sso with this im trying to start over properly
perhaps i will get better this way xD

also thanks for the compliments, much appreciated

soooo..... started to plan my days and practices as if i had classes, that means, after commission work is don (which takes around 3-4 hours) i get to study preselected subjects, -mainly: tones and structure- for about 2 hours each.
the ones you see here are mainly structure (with the exception of the little astronaut guy) since that's what i want to learn the most.
there are some pages on tones but they're charcoal and they get all smudgy, gotta figure out some ways to store them :/

awesome work! especially on perspective poses. i usually find them hardest to deal with.

planning to convert one of these to a more finished form?

not really, these were done as studies and for their purpose they're fine as is. i wanted to do some structure studies and that's what i did
i will eventually, do more refined pieces but right now i'm happy with how these are coming out. (als im gonna deliver more refined pieces with the tone studies, as soon as i get the hang of them xD

You're pretty good at perspective drawing from what I can see, well done Daniel. And the tone studies look good. Keep going man.

Aw fuck it I'm gonna go practice some perspective now. You've inspired me.

Nice gestures, you draw in a way that I would have assumed you was an animator. Expressive lines.

love the grind here! one thing I'm wondering is if it wouldn't be better for you to do more of a one finished tonal study with notes approach etc. instead of a few unfinished ones also maybe messing around a bit with blending with the soft/airbrush could soften up some of these hard edges to give it the skin look! lovely work per usual here though, keep going and you'll get there in no time!!

thanks a lot for the advice! i will do a more finished one, i just want to understand shadows better
i do use the airbrush, a bit too much, so i made it a point to avoid using it in the studies...
thanks a lot again, and i will be doing what you suggest

ANYWAY.... here's something a little different, i discovered this guy Nurzhan Bekkaliyev and he's a MONSTER for volumes... so me, being a sucker for structure, jumped straight ahead into it and did some studies, here are the results
