This was fun! I tried some new things and really challenged myself. I really appreciate the feedback that I received and I can't wait to see everyone's finished work.

Great topic! Learned a lot and know there is still room for improvement. It's all a time game.

Here's my submission. The idea is that she's been draining the life from passing sea creatures in order to preserve the sword, but her magic (and the supply of fish) is getting increasingly low.

I decided to embrace the 'horror' aspect in the last couple of hours. It's different from my normal stuff. The water surface effect isn't really executed well but I guess I should study something like that before trying.
Great work everyone! Looking forward to the next one.

Shame I came in so late to the party; couldn't quite finish it the way I'd have liked. Great fun nonetheless, and awesome work from everyone else.

    Had to make one cut:

Aotix: Your piece is too rough and is lacking in design. The front of the character is obscured by her leg, and it's difficult to tell what's happening in your image.

I voted for Mythmaker because I really felt that his piece fit the brief best and I really like the final render a lot. Great job Mythmaker and I could tell by your comment to "take it away" in the forums was a sign you put some good time into this piece.

To everyone else. Stinkypanda and Jaxeller, I really liked your pieces as well. Great job and looking forward to seeing you guys in the next round. Stay healthy and well all.

Good point, I spent too much time trying to capture the mood and not the design, will keep in mind for the next COW.

Everyone did a fantastic job and gl to all.

Thanks Lege! Yeah - I always put a lot of time in, but as my process isn't terribly efficient I struggle to reach the desired level of refinement before the deadline. I really wish I could start off with a nice clean lineart, but I've never found a way to do it that worked for me.

What happened to BrightLyncis' entry anyway? Is it to do with the new user post delay?

MYTHMAKER: You're welcome and no doubt, great job again. I'm sure your struggle will come to a slow after more time put in. As far line art goes, I like using the rotating screen in either painter or photoshop; I feel the screen rotation works really well on the regular wacom tablets. You may need to draw on screen though with a cintiq or get an Ipad Pro with Procreate. Not sure what happened with BrightLynics, but that sucks that got left out. Hopefully see you next round man, I see I have a lot of room to improve based on the votes on my work, lol. That's what I get for working entirely from imagination.
