Winterhalla - Color and Light 1.1

Here's my piece. I think I succeed with the core and reflective shadows of the face and nose but the hilight area was so difficult to paint because the light was so close to me (couldn't find better place for it than the bookself).

I learned that the reflective light is subtle and soft near the end of the cast shadow :o Fist time me painting portraits on grayscale - I totally need more practice.

Tervetuloa Try to push shadows bit more darker, I think you benefit knowing little bit about structure of face, skulls help with that (drawing 1.1 assignment as well proko) I think you are using too much soft brushes, try to paint with hard brushes first then use soft ones sparingly.

Oh, I used almost the blackest black for the shadows but I think the pen pressure/opacity combo did the thing :3 Will edit this piece and practice more.. I try to use hard brushes on my next piece ^^ btw thanks a lot!
