rau - That's Benjamin Björklund, he has some incredible stuff you can also check out Alex Kanevsky and Phil Hale, their styles are somewhat simmilar and all are extremely skilled.

Are you using photoshop, any tips on how you played around with the brush settings to finally arrive at one with which you're comfortable? Great progress btw! It's inspiring to see your progression. You always seemed to have had a strong sense of color, but your drawings have become much more confident / elegant. Like you're brush work a lot. Not only beautiful, but helps someone like me understand the contour of the form.

Hey, thanks. I don't really tend use any one particular brush I just grab whatever feels right at the moment from my set. The way PS 'blends" colors seems to make it impossible to achieve a really good single brush (for example something like the Dry Brush from Corel feels leages ahead) so I just use many different ones to substitute.

I look around to find interesting brush sets of other people, then go trough all of them one by one and keep/adjust the ones that feel good, its really just trial and error. Hope that helps.

Thanks, but don't quite understand what you mean by "face anatomy studies" (not a native speaker), aren't these just that?

edgarej - Hey thanks, thats a hell of a compliment. I love his suff, especially the angularity of the forms and the sheer quallity of values.

edgajer - Yeah that's how I found him. I was surprised, ussualy thse kind of concepts, even if made by great artists, have less polish and quality to them. But his are some of the best pieces I've seen in general, even outside of concept art.
