I can tell you worked your ass off on that dome piece, it was a great showing man. You used that Bengalish color scheme nicely. Good stuff bro, good luck in your match.

That poster looks really good, man!
But personaly, i´d like the bigger letters going from top to bottom, not bottom to top.

hehe yeah when i saw that first pic my first thought was immediately "degenesis!",but i guess that's proof that you succeeded in portraying your character. i like that last one very much, the atmosphere seems really nice.was this done from photo? my only crit with it is that the people seem flat and not as integrated or finished as the rest of the pic(which i guess comes from a flash being used if this is from a photo) the facial structures seem abit askew aswell, but that might be easily fixed. i can't tell what exactly it is though.
i keep returning to that light in the mirror(is it a mirror),that's just so perfectly portrayed. overall i can almost feel the smoke and hear the laughter. very nice!

whoop! you might be a little out of practice, because I see your figures leaning all sorts of crazy ways. Take your time to put in guidelines where you can see the direction of gravity and where the head and feet are. You'll notice the difference.

on another note - nice! I hope to see you there, I sent in my application a week and a half ago.

a little outa practice? dude, i my figure is ass, i dont have the opertunity to even do life drawing, in the past year my art school gave me three days of it. but ya, im trying, oh and i kinda hold my sketchbook at funny angles sometimes, or scanned crooked :/ i dunno

anyway here is a school asignment, something typically western illustrated in an eastern style, yeah baby i drew my first manga style characters, respect to people who can really do it, it is impossibly difficult.

its meant to show two ends of the style, but yeah i suck, and have never done it before and ran out of time and all them other good excuses, gah im stressed, back to work.

-and when you think about the fact that so many people try to start off drawing manga without learning about composition, perspective and anatomy, you realize just how much more impossibly hard it gets.

    cheers.

The idea behind "nephilim" and the execution of that painted room scene are very cool dude. My favorite thing in this thread is the design for Fleisch am Knocken poster, that is fucking superb. I'll be nitpicky and say there is a bit too much space between am and the K in Knocken, but that's minor. It's a really great poster.

Hey man. Nice work in here. I have silently followed your progress for a while. I like your bone studes, though i'm sure you could take the rendering even further. Your char faces need some work and their limitations can easily be imporved with some focused anatomy sutdies.

About that last piece, I think he should be leaning back a little more. The placement of weight doesn't show too well and that kinda makes him a little stiff. I'd work on those hands as well. Use the mirror. His right arm might need some reflected light as well.

Hey Rook, neaty neato. She turned out well, especially the variation of materials in her outfit... I really like that. I think her skintones suffer from the same problem that the barscene did, that is, she is a little monochromatic. Skin has a lot of subtle hue changes, greens, blues and oranges, and I think that you can be somewhat bolder in your application of color. Give it a shot, it might work well.

one thing I find helps is to flip the canvas every so often, or try drawing it upside down.
