    Topic:
    COW #369: RNG Creature

    Brief:
We're going to do things a little differently for this round. There's a little bit of freedom involved here but still an opportunity to produce some interesting results. What you are going to do is go to https://www.random.org/ and use the random number generator (RNG). Below is a set of different categories, each one pertaining to important characteristics when it comes to designing creatures (the creature's habitat, diet, primary senses, etc.) There are a few categories labelled (Generate Two) for these you will generate a second option which will be a secondary characteristic (ie. You generated Sight first and Hearing second, your creature will primarily rely on sight, but has good hearing as well) Of course you are free to 'alter' your results in some way so that in some cases your creature can indeed make some sense, but try to keep it more or less random for the sake of the design.

Pick a number from the following categories.

    Skin (Generate Two)
    1-scales
    2-fur
    3-bald
    4-feathers
    5-chitinous shell

    Habitat
    1-Desert
    2-Arctic
    3-Forest
    4-Rainforest
    5-Rivers and Lakes
    6-Mountain
    7-Ocean
    8-Plains
    9-Volcano
    10-Caves

    Diet
    1-Carnivore
    2-Herbivore
    3-Insectivore
    4-Omnivore

    Senses (Generate Two)
    1-Sight
    2-Smell
    3-Hearing
    4-Taste
    5-Touch

    Size
    1-Huge (ie. Elephants, Whales)
    2-Large (ie. Hippos, Bears)
    3-Medium (ie. Dogs, Deer)
    4-Small (ie. House cat, Weasel)
    5-Tiny (ie. Mouse, Guinea Pig)

    Patterning
    1-Plain
    2-Stripes
    3-Spots
    4-Patches
    5-Mixed

    Colour (Generate Two)
    1-Blue
    2-Red
    3-Green
    4-Black
    5-White
    6-Grey
    7-Purple
    8-Yellow
    9-Orange
    10-Brown
*note: you are not limited to just two colours, but your generated colours must be the most prominent in your design

    Some Samples:
    5/1-5-3-5/4-5-4-9/2

    3/2-7-1-3/2-3-5-10/2

    1/2-4-4-5/1-2-3-7/3

Keep in mind you don't have to use your first set of generated numbers, you can make multiple sets and pick whichever set makes the most interesting looking creature. Now have some fun with this.

    Round Requirements:
-Use the Random Number generator to select the characteristics for your creature
-You may slightly alter your results as you need but as be sure your creature has the available characteristics shown above

    Habitat: Plains

    I got:
    Skin: Scales and Chitinous shell
    Habitat: Volcano
    Diet: Carnivore
    Senses: Smell and Hearing
    Size: Large
    Patterning: Patches Pattern
    Color: Grey and Brown

To me this all points to some kind of armored reptile creature but I'm unsure how such a creature would display strong smell and hearing senses. This will definitely be a fun challenge!

    For me it was:

    Skin: Scales, bald
    Habitat: Volcano
    Diet: Omnivore
    Senses: Taste, touch
    Size: Medium
    Patterning: Spots
    Color: Green and blue

This is what I have so far. A quadruped lizard that lives on the fringes of the magma flows, in the fertile lava fields. It navigates with a gigantic highly specialized forked tongue that in carries over it's head.

    Skin: bald, chitinous shell
    Habitat: caves
    Diet: omnivore
    Senses: hearing, smell
    Size: medium
    Pattern: mixed
    Color: orange and black

First time here and finding this quite late, but heres what I got. Im thinking some form of insect or thin boney creature. The orange and black colour scheme points to something along the lines of a tiger. Hopefully I can whip something up by the end of the week

Heres my B/W sketch so far.

    Skin: Scales and Chitinous shell
    Habitat: Volcano
    Diet: Carnivore
    Senses: Smell and Hearing
    Size: Large
    Patterning: Patches Pattern
    Color: Grey and Brown
Definitely needs lots of rendering and an element to show it's size and it's environment.

Charamath, nice concept. Fits the habitat well, or at least looks like it to me

Hi all! My RNG items were as follows:
    -Fur, Scales
    -Desert
    -Omnivore
    -Taste, Hearing
    -Large
    -Patches
    -Orange, White
I wanted to mix a Fennec Fox and a Gila Monster, since those both live in desert environment and match a lot of the characteristics of the RNG. Here are the sketches I've got.
