the Columbus College of Art and Design
It was the first art school in america. located in Columbus, Ohio
over 125 years old
Has a dorm for first year students only.
Pricey, but not like say CalArts
Some GREAT instructors, many own their own studios and just want to teach other students. Some instructors suck, not many, but the ones that do give you no feedback, it is as if they are afraid of hurting ur feelings on a crit. I love the ones that were the hardest on me, the ones that would say, wow, thats crap. they pushed me and at the end of it all they got me to see what was wrong and i improved greatly, i respected them.
GREAT school for painters of fine art and illustrators, ROUGH first year. Photography majors wil like the school, but film and animation is VERY weak, they need some updating done. Industrial Design majors and GraphicDesign majors will love the school as well.
if you want multimedia...dont go, be it gaming or film or animation.

uhm, YEAH, the first year is insane. and i'm a transfer student so i'm only taking half of the foundation courses.
the teacehrs are great, except for 2 i can think off hand. Payne is a cool mofo and does a demo once a semester. the animation and multimedia department is stepping it up. they have all the gnomon dvd's in the school library, and recomend the students to check them out.
