FINALLY I got some anatomy books...

Don┤t beat me i never bought any...although it is a must have i see right now...

well ok first sketch after some anatomy studies!

He is some kind of a villian, sitting on the roof of a building. My idea was that he held somebody in his right hand asking for something. Don┤t know right now if i should indicate a body or if i put in a cat, which was asked!

Here we go, still a mess but i think better in all ways

    so another progress...

I tried to create some kind of scenery (not complete yet )
Can┤t believe what 2 days with anatomy books show this development.

    Question!!!

When i outline the sketches of the figure with a solid black line (no opacity pen pressure) in a slow manner the line gets noisy...
Is there any way to avoid this next to do draw the lines fast?

well linework isn┤t my best field, so i retried to do some kind of alla prima painting (which means here without prework etc.)

    so here it is,
no ref. used so far (just looked in the mirror for the difficult expression)

if i don┤t finish this, please kick me!

I love your sketchbook, its got a lot of diverse studies...
I think you got the contrast too high on the last one there, it looks better without the brightness.

    thanks a lot Hyver,
Yes the left arm bothers me too, i think i have to move it some more to the left side.

To the other painting, well i am not finished yet, but i would say i am about 90% finished.

    Here a small expression,
there is still a perspective thing that i don┤t like, i added two more warriors, so that the battle seems a bit more fair.

Ok this will be a kind of symbolic painting.

Photoshop, 30 hour, no ref. (just a quick view in the mirror to get the legs a bit more correct)

wow, that is indeed very fast. have to try it hehe...
did you do a prior drawing? I guess not very good, the nose
especially; the ears are too light in comparison to the rest

hi darkside, thank for your words, with the ears you are just half right,
i took myself for reference and i had my head bend a bit down so the formula "ears beneath eyebrows and down nose" was not correct.

ok did a break, although i didn┤t wanted but i wasn┤t able to draw the last few days. I drew just like 4 years ago...

o man, first sketch, which shows hope!

PS - 30min - no ref - worked with values so no underdrawing actually

should read more carefully next time

Well, what i study is called "interior design / interior architecture"
It quite the same as "Innenarchitektur"
but it includes product (furniture etc.) design.
I am in the third semester and i like it so far, just be strange that i am almost the only guy who does it.
My school HAWK Hildesheim, consist of many design directions, so Farb, Produkt, Metall, Advertising, Corporate, and Graphic next to Interior.
So i have a large field i can jump around.
It┤s a pity that (fine) arts is not included, there is just a life drawing course once a week.... you can┤t have all.
